The power of faith lies in caring. A story of change in one school

  • News

In January 2025, a unique initiative was launched in one of the largest comprehensive schools in the Glubokovsky district of the East Kazakhstan region. The district prosecutor's office, with the active support of the education department and the school administration, took under its wing teenagers who found themselves in a difficult life situation. Thus, a leadership club called "Strength in Unity" was born.

But the most important thing is that a new life opened up for the 23 students in grades 7–8. Instead of treating him with suspicion, he began to treat him with trust. Instead of trying to fix the situation, he supported it. They did sports, creative work, and shared activities. As a result, in three months, instead of discipline violations, there were achievements, instead of indifference, there was activity, instead of apathy, there was brilliant art on stage.

Another distinctive feature is that the prosecutor's participation is not limited to official meetings. He took a vacation from his main job, went to school, talked to children, played tennis and other sports with them, shared his life experience.
Such simple and sincere moments had a profound impact on the young hearts. They realized that they really did have faith, that there were adults around them who were ready to lend a helping hand.

And the contribution of the school principal and teachers to the successful implementation of this initiative is invaluable. A comfortable environment was created for the children, in which they felt needed, heard and accepted.

The students, on their own, organized a school event called “Nauryz – a holiday of mercy and unity,” proving that every teenager only needs one chance and faith in it.

My personal opinion is that when adults show genuine care, not only do children change, but we ourselves undergo radical changes. Because faith in goodness and mercy is renewed in our hearts. These teenagers, who said they had “many problems,” actually expected only understanding and sympathy from us. We hope that the number of such initiatives will increase.

Because a strong state begins, first of all, with the young generation, which is trusted, respected and has the right to vote.
